Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of IPTViX, the iOS application published on the App Store. Plain-language summary first; formal terms after.

Plain-language summary

  • IPTViX is a player. You bring the playlists and content.
  • Only stream content you're legally entitled to access.
  • The app is provided as-is. We don't promise it plays every stream from every provider.
  • One-time IPTViX Pro unlock through Apple. No subscriptions, no recurring charges from us.
  • Apple's standard refund policy applies to in-app purchases.

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using IPTViX, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use IPTViX on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and Apple's Standard EULA for App Store apps.

3. Your responsibilities

You agree:

  • To stream only content you have a legal right to access. IPTViX does not provide channels, streams, or content. Playlists, Xtream credentials, Plex servers, and SMB shares are supplied entirely by you.
  • Not to use the app to infringe copyright, distribute illegal material, or evade geographic restrictions you're contractually bound by (for example, your streaming provider's territory limits).
  • Not to attempt to reverse engineer, disassemble, or work around technical protection measures in the app, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law.
  • To keep your iOS device and your Apple ID secure. Sensitive data the app stores (playlist passwords, Plex tokens, parental PIN) lives in your iOS Keychain and is only as protected as your device passcode.

4. In-app purchases

IPTViX is free to download. The app offers a one-time IPTViX Pro unlock that removes the playlist import cap and enables DVR scheduling. There are no subscriptions and no recurring charges from us.

Apple processes all payments through the App Store. Apple's standard refund policy governs refund requests — you can request a refund directly from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds because we never receive your payment information.

5. Third-party content and services

The app integrates with third-party services at your direction: M3U providers, Xtream Codes panels, Plex servers, SMB shares, iptv-org and Samsung TV Plus catalogs, Apple iCloud, Apple Intelligence. We do not control these services and are not responsible for their availability, content, terms, or pricing. Their terms apply to your use of them.

6. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPATIBLE WITH EVERY STREAM FORMAT OR EVERY PROVIDER.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM (FOR FREE USERS THAT IS ZERO; FOR PRO USERS THAT IS THE ONE-TIME UNLOCK PRICE).

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of recordings, loss of stream access, loss of data, or service interruption — even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by applicable law.

8. Termination

You can stop using IPTViX at any time by uninstalling it from your device. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (license terms, disclaimers, liability caps, governing law) survive.

9. Apple-specific terms

The following terms apply to your use of the app on Apple devices, supplementing (and where they conflict, superseding) the rest of these Terms:

  • These Terms are between you and IPTViX, not with Apple. IPTViX, not Apple, is responsible for the app and its content.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
  • If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, who will refund the purchase price (if any). Apple has no other warranty obligation.
  • IPTViX, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal compliance, and consumer protection.
  • IPTViX, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any third-party intellectual-property infringement claim relating to the app.
  • You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.

If you live in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region with mandatory consumer protection laws, those laws apply to the extent they provide stronger protection than the law identified above. Where applicable, the courts of your place of residence have jurisdiction.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms when the app changes. Material changes are noted in the app's release notes. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms; if you don't, uninstall the app.

12. Open-source attributions

IPTViX uses and is grateful for the following open-source components:

  • VLCKit / MobileVLCKit — LGPL-2.1-or-later. The VideoLAN organisation. Source available at code.videolan.org/videolan/VLCKit.
  • Adapty iOS SDK — MIT. github.com/adaptyteam/AdaptySDK-iOS.
  • iptv-org public catalog — MIT. Used as one of the optional first-launch demo catalogs. github.com/iptv-org/iptv.
  • Various Apple system frameworks (AVKit, SwiftUI, SFSpeechRecognizer, Translation, Foundation Models, CloudKit) governed by Apple's developer agreements.
